Walkthrough: The Complete Progression Route

An AION 2 walkthrough of the full progression route: faction start, the unlock road to level 45, the endgame wall, and the weekly loop that follows — with a link to the detailed guide for every stage.

Quick Answer: What Is the Main Route Through AION 2?

The spine of the game is one sentence: follow the faction main story from your starting zone (Poeta for Elyos, Ishalgen for Asmodians) to the level-45 cap, collecting system unlocks welded to that route — wings, enhancement at 9, crafting at 10, legions, expedition dungeons, daily dungeons at 30 — then convert your momentum into the endgame loop of weekly Sanctuary, the Conquest item-level ladder and the Abyss. Every stage below links to the detailed guide.

Never detour off the main story to grind. Every early system unlock rides that route, so side detours cost progress twice.

Stage 1 — First Hours (Levels 1-10)

Play the shared Adventurer starter, commit to one of the eight classes through the early story step, and keep following the main line until the lake quest hands you wings. Level 9 opens enhancement; level 10 opens crafting, gathering and the Daeva Pass in one bundle. The beginner guide covers this stretch step by step, including the five beginner mistakes.

Stage 2 — The Road to 45 (Levels 10-45)

The main story remains the only efficient road. The unlock map: legions and Expedition dungeons via story quests, Abyss Supply Requests at 25, Daily Dungeon plus Unknown Fissure at 30 — from level 30 a fixed daily routine (dungeon, fissure, boards) carries you through the EXP taper. The leveling guide maps every gate in order with what each one opens.

Stage 3 — The Level-45 Wall

The cap is a door, not an ending: Abyss PvPvE, weekly Sanctuary bosses, the Conquest ladder (aggregate item level 700 to 1,400 to 2,100 to 2,800 to 3,000), Transcendence ranks, the World Market and the Season tracks all unlock together. Do not rush the last levels — arrive geared, or the wall hands you a dozen systems and nothing to press them with.

Stage 4 — The Endgame Loop

Weekly: Sanctuary first (the highest-value single lockout), the weekly Supply Request boards before reset. Daily: dungeon, fissure, boards. Always: Conquest dungeons aimed at the next item-level gate, funded by the Kina income lines. The daily routine guide sequences the full week, and the gear progression guide turns the ladder into a budget.

Optional Detours Worth Your Time
