⬇️ How to Download and Install: Steam vs PURPLE

Two official channels, same game and servers: Steam (free to play, app 3393110) and NC's own PURPLE launcher. The global version is Windows PC only — mobile exists only in Korea and Taiwan. Pick the channel your friends use; there is no wrong choice, and the Steam community hub is the busier one. Reserve 100 GB of storage before you start — that is the official install size on both spec tiers.

The Steam route is the default for most global players: patches flow through the Steam client, playtime tracks automatically, and the community hub doubles as the largest English player base.

• Open the AION 2 store page on Steam and click Play Game — it is flagged Free To Play.
• Steam downloads the full client (100 GB; an SSD is officially recommended).
• Launch from your library and log in with your NC account — the game links it on first run.
• Family Sharing is supported per standard Steam rules.

PURPLE is NC's own client: the launcher of choice for players already inside NC's ecosystem, and functionally identical for the game itself. Choose it when your friends or legion already coordinate there.

• Download the PURPLE launcher from NC's official site and install it.
• Log in with your NC account, find AION 2 in the launcher, and install (same 100 GB).
• Launch directly from PURPLE — same servers, same account as the Steam version.

Check the system requirements page: a GTX 1050 Ti with a Ryzen 5 2600 clears minimum, an RTX 2070 the recommended tier, and NC's own compatibility note says to start at the Very Low or Low preset at 1080p depending on your hardware. First launch runs character creation — faction choice (Elyos or Asmodians) is aesthetic and community, not gameplay — then the beginner guide takes over for your first hours.
